On 'SNL,' Penn State scandal offends even Satan

NEW YORK (AP) — On "Saturday Night Live," even the devil was offended by the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.

"SNL" cast member Jason Sudeikis reprised his role as Satan, appearing with red horns and pitchfork. The devil was informed by "Weekend Update" host Seth Meyers of sex charges against a former defensive coordinator and allegations that university officials failed to report the abuse.

Even he was disturbed by the news. Addressing Penn State students who protested football coach Joe Paterno's firing, the devil spoke directly into the camera, asking, "Do you know how bad that made you look?"

Disgusted by the scandal, the devil says, "Evil isn't what it used to be."

He pledged to quit and said he would return to his old job: customer service for a cable TV company.

Anyone that puts their hands on a small innocent child and rape them repeatedly should be hanged by the neck on the courthouse steps.

Everyone that knew needs some jail time.
Getting a pass on something like this is not an option.

No one had the courage or morals to open their mouths. They were worried about their own jobs. A big man see that happening, he does nothing to stop it. Walks away. Leaves the boy there with that monster. What a coward.

Funny how they will not investigate the prosecutor who is missing who investigated this scandal back in 2005...makes you wonder.

      From the Grand Jury report:

"As the graduate assistant entered the locker room doors, he was surprised to find the lights and showers on. He then heard slapping sounds. He believed the sounds to be those of sexual activity. As the graduate assistant put the sneakers in his locker, he looked into the shower. He saw a naked boy, Victim 2, whose age he estimated to be ten years old, with his hands up against the wall, being subjected to anal intercourse by a naked Sandusky... The next morning, a Saturday, the graduate assistant telephoned Paterno and went to Paterno's home, where he reported what he had seen."

How can anyone support Paterno when he knew for years that children were being raped in his campus showers by Sandusky and he was still be able to sleep at night and win football games?

Let me tell you guys a secret...THIS HAPPENS WAY MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE...
I was incarcerated at a state prison where they had a sex offender program and many of the guys TOLD ME directly that they weren't caught until their 67th+ victim. Trust me.... they weren't going to stop until they were caught.
Almost all their victims were under 13, male and female.
Most of the guys were married with children as well. Usually well educated too.
In almost all the cases they were NOT that guy who cruises around in a white van looking for victims, they were always that "neighbor" who volunteered to "watch" after your kids when you go shopping for a couple of hours, or they were the cub scout leader, the school teacher, the "nice" guy that you work with.
It was always a friend, family member or co worker. Almost never a stranger on stranger situation.

All I want to know is who knew what and when they knew what. As for Sandusky, lock him up forever!

      RAPE scandal. Not sex scandal.

This is just the tip of the iceberg - yesterday reports from the Citadel. Watch for all the schools - those crimes went unreported to local and state officials to keep the Universities clean. Would you be a donor to a program with these crimes? The NCAA is just as responsible as the Universities.

At least someone out there told all those Penn students how bad they looked to the world flipping buses and breaking windows in defense of Paterno based solely upon his coaching history. Total disregard for the victims.

      Thanks SNL.
Perhaps some of these posters should go back and focus on their episodes of Glee as the satirical message is beyond their capacity. The skit clearly points the that even the devil could not believe what his own ears was hearing! Shame on Penn State and everyone who stood idiol while this continued. They did not act with any sense of social or moral responsibility; knowingly turning their heads with reckless disregard for the safety of the kids. That is the essence of negligence. They are all culpable in this affair and should all be hanging their heads in shame!!

I never found the SNL devil skits to be funny, but the reality is, that is kinda the point. When they need to comment on something utterly vile and inexcusable, sudekis dressing up as the devil allows them to basically blast the stupidity and evil that allowed it to go on in the first place. Using the ultimate symbol of evil to basically blast evil itself is pure satirical genius, and at least SNL treats it for what it is, a travisty of epic proportions, and makes a open statement about how evil child molestation is.

Thank God I chose not to go to Penn State! EVERYONE involved in the coverup should be sent to jail.

The sad truth is this type of stuff goes on in allot of academic institutions.. from colleges down to your local grade school. And unfortunately, the usual course is "to protect their own" so as not to attract negative attention. Things like child porn, drug addiction (even pharmalogical), mental illness, spying on students in locker rooms and rrooms, private homosexual counseling and the rest. Those in academia really defend, turn blind eye and protect their own.... and most often at taxpayer funding.
